Today we’ll be reviewing the highest-rated and most reviewed Probiotic available on the internet, this is my review and experience after taking the Nutrition Essentials Probiotic for 14 days.
Nutrition Essentials Probiotic Full Review & Opinion
Nutrition Essentials Probiotic Ingredients
The Nutrition Essentials Probiotic contains 15 billion CFUs (healthy bacteria) per capsule, the serving size is 2 capsules, thus the daily dose you’ll be consuming is 30 billion CFUs.
Unfortunately, all these healthy bacteria only come from a single strain, Bacillus Coagulans, which I’m personally not the biggest fan of, but you may like it.
The strain has been researched quite a lot and it’s been shown to help with digestive issues like IBD, IBS, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease and also traveler’s diarrhea.
You’ll also benefit from Bacillus Coagulans as it’s a great after antibiotic strain and might help improve the function of your immune system.
Recommended dosage for Nutrition Essentials Probiotic
The recommended dosage by Nutrition Essentials is 2 capsules per day, as that’s their serving size.
Nutrition Essentials recommends to take one capsule in the morning before breakfast and the other in the afternoon also with a meal and some water.
Personally I’m not the biggest fan of having to take probiotics at 2 different times of day, since it’s just an extra thing to think about, I prefer when I only have to take them in the morning.
I’m also not the biggest fan of the capsule size, as the capsules look like horse pills and I had an incredibly tough time trying to get them down.
Nutrition Essentials Probiotic Benefits
I’m sorry to say, but during the 14 days, I experienced no benefits at all from taking these probiotics. My regular probiotic works heaps better, probably because it also has a higher strain count. However this one seems to be good for diverticulitis, click here for more info and it also seems to be one of the best probiotics for acne.
I feel like all Nutrition Essentials focused on with this probiotic is the CFU count, while paying no attention to the probiotic formula.
With that said, my digestion, mind clarity, bloating and IBS have not improved at all, in fact my digestion got worse after starting this probiotic regimen.
Nutrition Essentials Side Effects and Allergies
Usually when switching probiotic strains it’s perfectly normal, in fact I expect to feel a bit of stomach and digestive discomfort for the first few days, I had that exact though after switching from my usual day to day probiotic to Nutrition Essentials.
I experienced quite a severe stomach ache throughout the entire week (bear in mind the adjustment period usually lasts a few days), I stayed strong and pushed through, but the side effects didn’t subside even after taking the full bottle.
Thus I spent basically 14 days dealing with poor digestion and stomach pain – keep in mind that I didn’t experience any benefits by this point. I essentially bought and paid for a probiotic that made me feel worse, not better.
And I also paid a hefty price point, as this probiotic costs $1.6 per serving, compared to the usual $0.7.
In terms of allergies, another RED FLAG as there are absolutely 0 warnings or information on the packing and Amazon listing – many of us take probiotics to reverse and see an improvement with our allergy symptoms, thus it’s VERY frustrating to not know what kind of ingredients/allergens a digestive supplement may contain…

Rob says: “The outside is chalky so that makes the large caplet hard to swallow. I was expecting some bowel life change experience based on the product descent and reviews, but have not.”Rob posted (3 / 5) review
Nutrition Essentials Probiotic Review
Overall, as you read above my experience with the Nutrition Essentials probiotic was outright terrible, not only did I feel extremely bad, but I also experienced absolutely no side effects.
On top of that, I paid 2.5x more than I pay for my regular probiotic. My suggestion is to stay away from this probiotic and look for other options, as there are numerous better options out there.
