Now Foods Probiotic-10 Full Review & Opinion
Now Foods Probiotic-10 Ingredients
As the name suggests, the Probiotic 10 contains 10 different probiotic strains and a total of 25 billion CFUs, which is a great count of healthy bacteria.
Here’s the list of the 10 different probiotic strains:
- Lactobacillus acidophilus,
- Bifidobacterium bifidum,
- Lactobacillus plantarum,
- Lactobacillus salivarious,
- Lactobacillus casei,
- Lactobacillus paracasei,
- Lactobacillus rhamnosus,
- Bifidobacterium breve,
- Bifidobacterium longum,
- Streptococcus thermophilus
The strains in this probiotic are quality and quite good, however there’s one strain that I have a problem with, it’s called Lactobacillus casei.
The reason why I don’t like this probiotic strain is that it’s been proven that this probiotic strain is super aggressive and that in the process of healing your gut it can actually detox and remove some of the good bacteria as well – DEFINITELY something we don’t want!
In regards to the strains I do like, I’m a fan of Lactobacillus plantarum strain, which has been proved to slow down the growth of bacteria that cause bloating and gas. This strain is also highly beneficial at improving the intestinal lining and detoxifying the gut.
Recommended dosage for Probiotic-10
Since the dosage is quite potent (coming in at 25 billion CFUs) it’s recommended that you only take one of these capsules per day with a bit of water – ideally about 30 minutes before breakfast.
Now Foods Probiotic-10 Benefits
There are numerous benefits that you can expect from taking this probiotic, these include:
- Improved digestion,
- Less bloating,
- Less gas,
- More energy,
- Clearer mind,
- Improved immune system.
Which benefits from above did I experience?
Well, coming from my day to day probiotic (highly recommend it), I personally didn’t notice any difference.
Even after switching to Now Foods Probiotic-10 my mind stayed clear, my digestion didn’t get worse and overall I felt good.
However there’s one thing that DISAPPOINTED me and it’s the fact that this probiotic needs to be refrigerated – in fact, Now Foods says that they cannot guarantee the probiotic count if the Probiotic-10 is not refrigerated.
And we all know what that means…
We can be 100% sure that the probiotic was not refrigerated during the transport – thus who knows how many live organisms “remained” live… The dose could now be potentially a lot lower than the advertised 25 billion CFUs. (This is a big negative for me) 🙁
Now Foods Probiotic-10 Side Effects and Allergies
Luckily I didn’t experience any side effects when taking this probiotic, which is of course a big plus, however if you’ve never taken a probiotic before, be prepare to feel a little weird for the first 2-3 days, as your body adapts and gets used to the healthy bacteria.
In regards to the allergy concerns, the Probiotic-10 is a great choice for those who have allergies, as it does not contain any dairy, wheat, gluten or soy.
It’s also GMP certified and manufactured in a facility free of wheat, gluten, milk, eggs, fish, nuts, and soy – which is great if you’re sensitive or have allergies – it also makes the Probiotic 10 one of the many great histamine intolerance probiotics.

Now Foods Probiotic-10 Review
I personally really liked this probiotic and I think it’s a great choice for anyone looking for a great probiotic to start their first regimen. It’s also a great probiotic for those who have allergies and also one of the best probiotic for psoriasis.
However, I’m a bit concerned about the potency of the probiotic – maybe a little disappointed even.
As mentioned, the Probiotic-10 needs to be refrigerated in order to keep its 25 billion CFUs count – and we all know that the transporters don’t care about its need to be refrigerated.
Thus, I can conclude that the CFU count is MUCH LOWER than advertised and I’d personally suggest that you look into other options that do not need to be refrigerated.
