Today we’ll be reviewing Bio Kult Probiotic, one of the most popular probiotics on the market today, I’ll be sharing my experience, the effects and results I’ve noticed after 2 weeks of taking it.

Bio Kult Probiotic Full Review & Opinion

Bio Kult Probiotic Ingredients

Each capsule contains 2 billion CFUs coming from 14 different probiotic strains, which is a solid number.

These strains include:

  • Bacillus subtilis, 
  • Bifidobacterium bifidum, 
  • Bifidobacterium breve,
  • Bifidobacterium infantis, 
  • Bifidobacterium longum,
  • Lactobacillus acidophilus,
  • Lactobacillus delbrueckii,
  • Lactobacillus casei,
  • Lactobacillus plantarum,
  • Lactobacillus rhamnosus,
  • Lactobacillus helveticus,
  • Lactobacillus salivarius,
  • Lactococcus lactis,
  • Streptococcus thermophilus

As with every review, I’m going to choose 3 probiotic strains out of the ones listed above and describe them in more detail.

First, let’s start with the bad Lactobacillus casei is probably one of the only strains from the list above that I don’t like, the reason I don’t like it is because this probiotic strain is quite aggressive and can sometimes overrun the positive and healthy bacteria, which is not ideal.

However, one strain that I’m a fan of is Lactobacillus acidophilus, the reason why I really like this strain is because of its great benefits for IBS and those suffering from Crohn’s disease. It’s also great as it provides a boost in the immune system, it’s great at preventing yeast infections and also highly recommended for treating travelers diarrhea.

As someone who often suffers from seasonal allergies, I’m also a big fan of Bifidobacterium longum, the reason why I like is that it’s been proven to dramatically reduce allergic reactions from seasonal allergies.

It’s also a great probiotic strain to use after using antibiotics, as it has many anti-inflammatory properties.

Recommended dosage for Bio Kult Probiotic

The recommended dosage according to the instructions provided by Bio Kult is 2 capsules per day with some food and water, however if you recently got off any antibiotics, Bio Kult recommends upping that dose to 4 capsules daily.

It’s a shame that you need to take multiple capsules per day, that’s something I personally dislike, but luckily at least the capsules are easy to get down.

Bio Kult Probiotic Benefits

In terms of the benefits I experienced when taking the Bio Kult probiotic, hmm… Well coming from my day to day probiotic, which is noticeably more potent, I can say that even when using the Bio Kult my digestion stayed in an all-right shape, other than a bit of bloating during the first week.

Unfortunately I didn’t experience the mind clarity that I usually experience on my regular probiotic, which is a bit of a shame, since mind clarity and focus are extremely important to me and one of the main reasons why I take probiotics in the first place.

Overall, for me at least, the results were poorer than expected.

Bio Kult Probiotic Side Effects and Allergies

During the first week of using this probiotic I did experience some side effects, more specifically I was quite bloated, but after a week those went away fortunately.

I also have some bad news in regards to the allergens the Bio Kult probiotic contains, while the capsules are free of eggs, fish, nuts, wheat, gluten, sugar and soy they do contain some other ingredients that you may not be pleased about.

The Bio Kult probiotic capsules contain milk, corn and yeast – yes, they’re in trace amounts, but it may bother you if you have a very sensitive allergy.

Bio Kult Probiotic Review

My overall review of the Bio Kult probiotic is filled with mixed opinions.

While the probiotic definitely has some good aspects, like the high strain count and the fact that it’s great for antibiotics, it does have negatives too and in my opinion the negatives simply outweigh the positives here.

The side effects I experienced, the fact that the probiotic is not as allergy friendly as it should be and also the fact that you have to take so many capsules at a time is simply a bit annoying.

While I can’t say this product is bad, there are certainly better and higher quality ALTERNATIVES that will ensure you reap more health benefits for the exact same price.
